It took three months because of an injury, but Harrison Bader debuted with the New York Yankees in the Major Leagues. Already with two games wearing the uniform of the most winning franchise in American baseball, the outfielder has gone viral for his “Spanish classes” in an interview.
Chatting with a Spanish-speaking New York chain, Bader was asked to say a few words in Spanish that he knows to seek to create a link with the huge community in the Big Apple, but instead of sending cordial greetings or something like that, the player “got the neighborhood” in a comical moment recorded on television.
“Same shit every day”was what the new Bronx Bombers player said before the microphones with a huge smile on his face, while the embarrassed reporter did not know what to say and replied: “I should have said good words to you in Spanish.”
Harrison Bader has only played two games with the Yankees. after arriving last July from the St. Louis Cardinals. With him taking part in the lineup, the ninth New Yorker won both games against the Pittsburgh Pirates and starting this Thursday they will play their last series of the season against the Boston Red Sox, in another edition of the MLB Classic.
The Manhattan Mules are American League East Division leaders with a record of 90-58, with a six-game lead over the Toronto Blue Jays.
