The State Institute of Sport, headed by its director Cesar Omar Cárdenas Reyes, achieved the headquarters for the state of Durango of the discipline of triathlon within the regional macro that concentrates eleven states of the Mexican Republic.
In an intense, but very productive meeting in which the sports representatives of the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, and of course that of Durango, who make up group A, is that the land of cinema, under the proposal of Cárdenas Reyes, won the right to organize the macro-regional Triathlon.
The great triathlon-loving family of Durango has earned a great responsibility, but, above all, it has a wonderful opportunity, since asserting its local status will be important to harvest the long-awaited tickets for the CONADE 2023 National Games, maximum fair sport that will redirect the triathlon competition in the state of Nayarit.
It should be noted that it was an intense day that was lived within this meeting, since all the states in a certain way raised their hands to host one of the Macro Regional qualifiers, where for Durango César Cárdenas raised their hands to carry out this stage in the discipline of Triathlon, which was approved by the plenary session of Group “A”.
Staff of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport, mediated this virtual meeting with the sports directors in the states that comprise Region I and Region II, defining dates and venues of the different sports disciplines for these Macro Regionals of the national sports fair most important amateur event in Mexico and will tentatively take place in May and June, in the states of Tabasco, Aguascalientes, Morelos, Nayarit and Jalisco.
