Matamoros, Tamaulipas. -A man detained by the State Guard and transferred to the municipal railing was found lifeless in the cell where he was locked up.
The deceased was named Edgar Gerardo Mata Padrónauthorities reported.
According to the report, the person was apprehended by agents of the aforementioned corporation and taken to the Public Security offices, where at night he was found without vital signs.
It was indicated that he caused his death by suffocating with his own sock that he put in his mouth.
The Investigative Police of the Attorney General of Justice (FGJ) of the Tamaulipas State where an investigation folder has already been opened, while the corpse was taken to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) to perform the law autopsy.
