“I very much respect his opinion, but I owe it to the citizens and the situations that prevail in the municipality, with collapsed drains and houses without water,” Soledad Mayor Leonor Noyola Cervantes responded to Enrique Torres López’s statement, general director of the inter-municipal water operator agency, Interapas, who described the low collection of users in the demarcation as a concerted action.
The mayoress pointed out that he can say many things, but the reality is what is being felt in all the neighborhoods, which do not have water and suffer from drainage problems.
“We are fed up, we need to stop and get to work, really where citizens have that vital liquid and the services they deserve, I respect his comments very much, but what can he say, who is not from here, he does not really know the needs of the colonies”, he argued.
He added that people have to buy pipes to supply themselves with drinking water, so it is not worth playing with citizens in this way, on the contrary, see how they can be supported and not hurt them with the increase in water.
“I told him at the beginning that this resource that is entered from Soledad, why was it not invested in the works that belong to the municipality, that it really is seen that they are working,” he concluded.
