After it became known that in the exhumation work in the municipality of Monclovaseveral bodies will be found they had bullet wounds and if they had been cremated, the state attorney general, Gerardo Márquez, affirmed that investigations of each of these findings had begun.
He indicated that all these cases are deaths that happened more than 10 years agobut in any case they will be investigated by the state authorities after being found in the exhumation work that is being carried out in the Sacred Heart pantheon in the municipality of Monclova.
“Everyone has an investigation folder, the corresponding analyzes will be carried out and, of course, investigations will have to be carried out related to the folders, they are long-standing cases, they date from 2010, 2011, of those years,” said the state attorney general. .
Dolores Dávalos Navarro, an archaeologist at the Regional Center for Human Identification, affirmed that they are working with the prosecutor’s office for disappeared persons and with ministerial agents, who began with the preparation of minutes about the different findings that have been made in the first days of work in Monclova.
He added that these studies carried out after the exhumations they seek the identification of the remains and it will correspond to the families of the disappeared or to the state attorney general’s office, to carry out an investigation or to relate this evidence to a case that is already open.
He added that in these exhumation works that have been carried out in the different municipal pantheonshave had the participation of the different state search groups, although there is the possibility that people who are not within these groups may approach to request information on missing relatives.
For her part, the director of the Regional Center for Human Identification, Yezka Garza, stated that the exhumation work in the municipality of Monclova will continue until December 3.
