They reinforce medical care in rural communities of Tamaulipas through the application of an intensive workshop for the staff of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) where the most frequent topics in health were touched on.

The head of the IMSS Tamaulipas, Dr. Velia Patricia Silva Delfín, explained that this activity was called “Orientation Workshop for the Community Organization for Health” and that it was directed to personnel of the IMSS-BIENESTAR program in Tamaulipas, where more than 100 health workers.

“It is a real pleasure to be here with you, as a representative of the general director of the IMSS, teacher Zoé Robledo who promotes and directs the strategies of our president of the republic, Licenciado Andrés Manuel López Obrador.”

It was held from November 14 to 18 in Ciudad Victoria through the Community Action Component of the IMSS-BIENESTAR Program.

“It is about strengthening the knowledge, abilities and skills of institutional community action staff through different educational strategies, which must be complemented to contribute to conscious and organized participation in health self-care at the individual, family and community level” .

The doctor recognized the success generated by this workshop offered by expert speakers, and thanked the presence of Ernesto Ayala Herrera, advisor to the Community Action Coordination of the Imss-well-being Unit.
