“What would people look like if some big events hadn’t happened?” Is the question that triggered the series of images As if nothing happenedfrom the Turkish artist Alper Yesiltas.

This project, which makes use of artificial intelligence, consists of a series of portraits of great historical figures, especially musical ones, if death had not interrupted his life.

“When I started playing with artificial intelligence, I saw everything it could do and I thought about what would make me happier: I wanted to see some of the people I missed in front of me again, that’s how this project came about,” Alper shared in your blog.

John Lennon, Paul Walker, Lady Di, Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Heath Ledger, Kurt Cobain and Elvis Presley are some of the celebrities that the artist included in the project.

“For me, the hardest part of the creative process is making the image feel ‘real’ to me; the moment that I like the most is when I think that the image in front of me looks very realistic, as if it had been taken by a photographer”, pointed out the creative.

After sharing the images of As if nothing had happened on social networksthese immediately became viral, so the artist plans to extend his work.

“There are 10 images so far in the project. I want to extend it, but I want to do it selectively, so the process, for me, is a bit slow,” he commented.

In addition, Alper revealed that he has other ideas involving artificial intelligence in mind, “There are several things that I imagine about real life using AI technology, such as life in 2050 Y alternative museum“.
