The 2022 Art Week brings tours of institutions, bike rides, music events, tributes. In summary, there will be more than 100 activities from Tuesday, September 27 to Tuesday, October 4, an agenda of activities will be developed in the public space and different private spaces of the City with the aim of disseminating local contemporary artists and promoting public art as a way to rediscover the City.
The event begins with the Pinta BAphoto fair, continues with the Art Week and the Architecture Biennial, and concludes with the contemporary art fair arteba. Under the premise of creating a coexistence between spaces, artistic expressions and audiences, the City proposes a free interdisciplinary program, creating a large open-air museum in multiple locations. There will be exhibitions, talks, performances, documentary screenings, tributes to great national artists, training modules and more activities to enjoy in squares, theaters, subway stations, cultural institutions and other spaces.
In that sense, there will be 10 works by local artists, who were selected through a call that explore various techniques ranging from painting and sculpture to photography and digital art. These are: “The mysteries of Udolfo” by Veronica Gomez, at Colón Fábrica (Av. In addition, guided tours will be organized together with the curator and artistic manager Melisa Boratyn around the arteba fair, which will take place from October 7 to 9 at the Costa Salguero Center (Av. Costanera Rafael Obligado 1221), and through its social networks (@bacultura), 5 pairs of tickets will be raffled to enter the event for free.
The professional training modules of the Art Week will be launched on the Impulso Digital platform (@impulsocultural) under the theme of Public Art, in which specialists from different disciplines will provide tools for cultural makers from all over the country.

Works and sculptures located in public space will be toured. The visit will begin at the National Library with the work Lunar Alphabet by the artist Leandro Katz. The title of the sculpture is a tribute to the figure of the “Luchona”: a term used pejoratively to describe single mothers who like to go out and behave freely, mostly used in the case of teenage mothers from working classes in Latin America.
